In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Alif Lam Mim. 1 These are verses of the Book of Wisdom 2 And a guidance and grace for those who do good, 3 who are constant in prayer and dispense charity: for it is they, they who in their innermost are certain of the life to come! 4 It is they who are on guidance from their Lord, and only they are the successful. 5 But among men are also those who spread frivolous stories to mislead (others) from the way of God, without any knowledge, and take it lightly. For such as these the nemesis will be shameful. 6 When Our verses are recited to such a person, he arrogantly turns away, as though he had not heard them, or as though there was a deafness in his ears. So announce to him the tidings of a grievous chastisement. 7 Surely those who believe and do good deeds shall have Gardens of Bliss. 8 wherein they will abide forever. That is God's true promise; He is the Mighty, the Wise One. 9 He created the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; He set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and He scattered through it beasts of all kinds. We send down rain from the sky, and produce on the earth every kind of noble creature, in pairs. 10 [All] this is God's creation: show Me, then, what others than He may have created! Nay, but the evildoers are obviously lost in error! 11
