Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 These are verses of the Book of Wisdom 2 A guidance and a mercy for the doers of goodness, 3 Those who establish the prayer and give the poor-rate and of the Hereafter are convinced. 4 They follow the guidance of their Lord and they will have everlasting happiness. 5 (In an attempt to show that God's revelations are only ancient legends) some people pay for meaningless tales to draw others attention away from the Quran without knowledge and treat as a matter of fun. They will suffer a humiliating torment. 6 When Our revelations are recited to them, they turn back on their heels out of pride as if they did not hear them or their ears had been sealed off. Warn them of the painful torment. 7 Verily those who believe and work righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens of Delight. 8 To dwell therein. The promise of Allah is true: and He is Exalted in Power, Wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars that you see and has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with you, and dispersed therein from every creature. And We sent down rain from the sky and made grow therein [plants] of every noble kind. 10 This is the creation of Allah; shew me that which those beside Him have created. Aye! the wrong-doers are in error manifest. 11
