O Ye who believe! remember Allah with much remembrance. 41 And sing His praises morning and evening. 42 It is He who confers blessing upon you, and His angels [ask Him to do so] that He may bring you out from darknesses into the light. And ever is He, to the believers, Merciful. 43 On the Day when they meet Him, they will be welcomed with the greeting, "Peace"; and He will have readied for them a most excellent reward. 44 Prophet, We have sent you as a witness, a bearer of glad news, a warner, 45 a caller to Allah by His permission and as a light shedding lamp. 46 And give glad tidings to the believers that for them is Allah’s extreme munificence. 47 And obey not the unbelievers and the hypocrites; heed not their hurt, but put thy trust in God; God suffices as a guardian. 48 O believers, when you marry believing women and then divorce them before you touch them, you have no period to reckon against them; so make provision for them, and set them free with kindliness. 49 We have made lawful for you, O Prophet, wives to whom you have given their dower, and God-given maids and captives you have married, and the daughters of your father's brothers and daughters of your father's sisters, and daughters of your mother's brothers and sisters, who migrated with you; and a believing woman who offers herself to the Prophet if the Prophet desires to marry her. This is a privilege only for you and not the other believers. We know what We have ordained for them about their wives and maids they possess, so that you may be free of blame, for God is forgiving and kind. 50 ۞ Thou mayest put off such of them as thou wilt, and thou mayest take unto thee such of them as thou wilt; and whomsoever thou desirest if such as thou hadst set aside there is no blame upon thee. This is likelier to cool their eyes and not let them grieve and to keep them pleased with whatsoever thou shalt give every one of them. Allah knoweth that which is in your hearts, and Allah is ever Knowing, Forbearing. 51 Other women are not permitted for you after these, nor that you change them for other wives even if their beauty pleases you except the bondwomen whom you possess; and Allah is the Guardian over all things. 52
