۞ Say, "I only advise you of one [thing] - that you stand for Allah, [seeking truth] in pairs and individually, and then give thought." There is not in your companion any madness. He is only a warner to you before a severe punishment. 46 Say: Whatever reward I have asked of you, that is only for yourselves; my reward is only with Allah, and He is a witness of all things. 47 Say thou: verily my Lord hurleth the truth: the Knower of things hidden. 48 Say: The truth has come, and the falsehood shall vanish and shall not come back. 49 Say: "If I am in error it is to my own loss; if I am on guidance that is so because of what my Lord reveals to me. He is all-hearing and all-too-near." 50 And could you see when they shall become terrified, but (then) there shall be no escape and they shall be seized upon from a near place 51 and will cry, "We do [now] believe in it!" But how can they [hope to] attain [to salvation] from so far away, 52 Whereas they disbelieved therein afore, and conjectured about the unseen from a place so afar. 53 A barrier shall be raised between them and what they desired, as was done with their partisans before. They too were filled with disquieting doubt. 54
