Evidence (of the truth) for them is how We revived the dead earth 33 We have placed in it gardens of date palms and vines, and caused springs to gush [forth] from it, 34 That they may eat of His fruit. And their hands have not produced it, so will they not be grateful? 35 Holy is He Who created all things in pairs, whether it be of what the earth produces, and of themselves, and of what they do not know. 36 A sign for them is the night. From it We withdraw the day and they are in darkness. 37 And the sun runneth on unto a resting-place for him. That is the measuring of the Mighty, the Wise. 38 And We have appointed positions for the moon till it returns like an old branch of the date palm. 39 It is not permitted to the sun that it should overtake the moon, nor can the night outstrip the day: each in an orbit, they float. 40 And a sign for them is that We lodged them in a laden ship, while they were in their forefathers backs. 41 And We have created for them of the like thereunto whereon they ride. 42 And if We will, We drown them, and there is no help for them, neither can they be saved; 43 Unless by Our benevolence, to reap advantage for a time. 44 And when it is said to them, “Beware of what is before you and what is behind you, in the hope of your gaining mercy”, they turn away! 45 Indeed, not one of your Lord's signs comes to them without their turning away from it, 46 and when they are told, "Give to others out of what God has provided for you," those who are bent on denying the truth say to the believers, "Why should we feed those whom God could feed if He wanted? You are clearly in error!" 47 And they say: "When will this promise come to pass, if what you say is true?" 48 They await but one Shout, which will seize them while they dispute. 49 They will have no time to make a will, nor shall they return to their own people. 50
