And a sign to them is the dead earth: We give life to it and bring forth from it grain so they eat of it. 33 We made in it gardens of date-palms and vines, and We caused springs to gush forth 34 so that they may consume the fruits and whatever their hands prepare. Will they not then be grateful? 35 Exaltations to Him who created pairs of all the things the earth produces and of themselves, and that of which they have no knowledge. 36 A sign for them is the night. From it We withdraw the day and they are in darkness. 37 And the sun runs its course for its final destination; this is a command of the Almighty, the All Knowing. 38 And the moon, We have determined it in phases till it returns like an old palmbranch. 39 It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming. 40 That We bore their progeny in the laden ark is a sign for them; 41 And We have created for them of the like thereunto, so on them they ride. 42 And if We please, We can drown them, then there shall be no succorer for them, nor shall they be rescued 43 Unless by Our benevolence, to reap advantage for a time. 44 When it is said to such people: “Guard yourselves against what is ahead of you and what has preceded you that mercy be shown to you” (they pay scant heed to it). 45 and no message of their Sustainer's messages ever reaches them without their turning away from it. 46 And when it is said to them, "Spend from that which Allah has provided for you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Should we feed one whom, if Allah had willed, He would have fed? You are not but in clear error." 47 The unbelievers say, "When will the Day of Judgment come if what you say is at all true?" 48 They await just one scream, which will overcome them while they are involved in worldly disputes. 49 They will have no time to make a will, nor shall they return to their own people. 50
