The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 They are rejected and theirs is an everlasting punishment; 9 Except one who sometimes steals a part, so a blazing flame goes after him. 10 Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay. 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 And when they are admonished, they receive not admonition. 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
