The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the rangers ranging 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have indeed adorned the lowest heaven with stars as ornaments. 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 and driven away to suffer the necessary torment. 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 saying, "This is plain sorcery!" 15 "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected? 16 What, and our forefathers, the ancients' 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 They will then say: “Woe for us. This is the Day of Judgement.” 20 [It will be said], "This is the Day of Judgement which you have been denying." 21
