The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, and the Sustainer of all the points of sunrise! 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 and if they see any Sign, they laugh it away 14 saying, "This is plain sorcery!" 15 "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected? 16 And so also shall our forefathers of yore be raised to life?” 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. 21
