۞ Gather together those who did wrong and their comrades and that which they were wont to worship 22 apart from God, and guide them unto the path of Hell! 23 Stop them. They must be questioned." 24 What aileth you that ye succour not one another? 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 They will turn to each other saying, 27 They will say, "You used to come at us from the right." 28 Others will respond, "It was you who did not want to have any faith. 29 "And we had no authority over you. Nay! But you were transgressing people (disobedient, polytheists, and disbelievers). 30 "So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins). 31 And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators." 32 So all of them on that day are sharers in the chastisement. 33 This is how We deal with the criminals. 34 They were the ones, who on being told, "God is only One," become puffed-up with pride 35 And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet? 36 No, indeed, he has brought the truth, and confirmed the Messengers. 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 Ye are requited naught save what ye did - 39 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 40 shall have a known provision -- 41 Fruits; and they will be honored 42 In the Gardens of delight, 43 On couches, facing one another. 44 Round shall be passed a cup unto them filled with limpid drink: 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 Neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating, 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 They will turn to one another with questions: 50 One of them says, 'I had a comrade 51 Who used to say: "Are you among those who believe (in resurrection after death). 52 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be requited?" 53 He will say, "Would you [care to] look?" 54 He looked down and saw (his friend) in the midst of Hell. 55 He will say to his friend in hell, "By God, you almost destroyed me. 56 Had I not the guidance of my Lord, I would certainly have been brought into torment". 57 Are we then not to die 58 “Except our earlier death, and nor will we be punished?” 59 Verily this is the supreme achievement! 60 for the like of this let the workers work.' 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of al-Zaqqum? 62 which We have made as a test for the wrongdoers. 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hellfire: 64 Its crop is as it were the heads of devils 65 and they eat of it, and of it fill their bellies, 66 then in addition to it they shall have a draught of boiling water to drink; 67 Then indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire. 68 They had indeed found their forefathers astray. 69 So in their footsteps they are being hastened on. 70 Before them erred most of the ancients, 71 though We had sent among them warners. 72 and behold, how was the end of them that were warned, 73 Only Our sincere servants were saved. 74

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
