1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Gather together those who were unjust and their associates, and what they used to worship 22 apart from God, and guide them unto the path of Hell! 23 And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned." 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 Nay, but that day they shall submit (to Judgment); 26 They will turn upon one another, and question one another. 27 "It was you who tried to mislead us from righteousness". 28 They will say: nay! ye yourselves were not believers. 29 "Nor had we any authority over you. Nay, it was ye who were a people in obstinate rebellion! 30 "So now the Word of our Lord has been justified against us, that we shall certainly (have to) taste (the torment). 31 we perverted you, indeed, we were perverts' 32 On that Day they will all share the punishment: 33 that is how We deal with evil-doers. 34 Truly, when it was said to them: La ilaha ill-Allah "(none has the right to be worshipped but Allah)," they puffed themselves up with pride (i.e. denied it). 35 saying, 'What, shall we forsake our gods for a poet possessed?' 36 Nay: he has come with the truth and verified the apostles. 37 Now certainly you shall be tasting the painful chastisement, 38 “And you will not be compensated except for your deeds.” 39 Except for God's sincere servants; 40 For them is a Sustenance determined, 41 Fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity, 42 In gardens of pleasure, 43 on couches facing each other. 44 a goblet from a spring shall be passed round to them 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 No headiness there shall be therein, nor shall they be therewith inebriated. 47 And with them are those of modest gaze, with lovely eyes, 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 They advance one upon another, asking each other questions. 50 And a speaker from among them will say: verily there was unto me a mate. 51 Who used to say: 'Are you one of those who can testify to the truth? 52 after we die and become dust and bones, we shall be brought to judgement?'" 53 He shall say: Will you look on? 54 Then he looks, and sees him in the midst of Hell. 55 He shall say: By Allah! you had almost caused me to perish; 56 And but for the favour of my lord, I should have been of those brought forward. 57 Then he will say [to his blessed companions], "Are we not going to die, 58 except for our first death? And shall we suffer no chastisement?'” 59 Verily this! that is the supreme achievement. 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is this better or the tree of Zaqqum 62 We have made this tree a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 Verily it is a tree that springeth forth in the bottom of Flaming Fire. 64 its fruit [as repulsive] as satans' heads; 65 And verily they must eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water. 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 They found their fathers had gone astray; 69 and [now] they make haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;- 71 But We sent aforetime, among them, (messengers) to admonish them;- 72 Then see what was the end of those who were admonished (but heeded not),- 73 Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah. 74
