1/2 Hizb 45

۞ "Bring ye up", it shall be said, "The wrong-doers and their wives, and the things they worshipped- 22 instead of God, and lead them all onto the way to the blazing fire, 23 And stop them, for they must be questioned. 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 In fact, on that day they will be submissive. 26 and advance one upon another, asking each other questions. 27 They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right." 28 They will say: “Nay, you yourselves were not the ones who would believe. 29 We had no authority over you, in fact, you were a rebellious people. 30 Thus, the words of Our Lord about us have come true and now we are suffering the torment. 31 And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators." 32 So verily on that Day they all in the torment will be sharers. 33 Thus do We treat the culprits. 34 Surely they used to behave proudly when it was said to them: There is no god but Allah; 35 And to say: What! shall we indeed give up our gods for the sake of a mad poet? 36 Nay: he has come with the truth and verified the apostles. 37 you shall surely taste the painful punishment, 38 And ye shall be required not except for that which ye have been doing; 39 Not so, however, God's true servants: 40 for them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits! And they shall be honoured. 42 In Gardens of peace. 43 Facing each other on Thrones (of Dignity): 44 a goblet from a spring shall be passed round to them 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 but not harmful or intoxicating. 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 who are as chaste as sheltered eggs. 49 So one among them turns to the other, questioning. 50 One of them will say, "I had a companion who asked me, 51 Who said: art thou of those who confess to the doctrine of Resurrection: 52 Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book? 53 Allah will say: will ye look down? 54 Then he looked down and saw him in the midst of hell. 55 and says: "By God! Verily, thou hast almost destroyed me [too, O my erstwhile companion] 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 What, do we then not die 58 and that we would not be punished?" 59 This is indeed the mighty triumph, 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is that better as a hospitality, or the Tree of Ez-Zakkoum? 62 Which We have reserved as punishment for evil-doers? 63 It is a tree that grows in the nethermost part of Hell. 64 its spathes are like the heads of satans 65 Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 And behold, above all this they will be confounded with burning despair! 67 And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell. 68 They found their father going astray 69 So they in their footsteps are rushing. 70 And indeed before them, most of the former people went astray. 71 And indeed We had sent Heralds of warnings among them. 72 See how those who were warned met their end! 73 Except the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, and true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 74
