And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 All the people turned away from him 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants – some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
