And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
