Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
