3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 And We rescued him in exchange of a great sacrifice. (The sacrifice of Ibrahim and Ismail peace be upon them is commemorated every year on 10, 11 and 12 Zil Haj). 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
