3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 and We preserved for him a good name among posterity. 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
