Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
