We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
