Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
