And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
