Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 Call to mind when he fled to the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 then the whale swallowed him down, and he blameworthy. 142 Now had he not been of those that glorify God, 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 Except His chosen creatures who do not. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And assuredly Our word hath already gone forth Our bondmen, the sent ones: 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 What! would they then hasten on Our chastisement? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 So turn away from them for a while. 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
