Hizb 46

Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? 150 Then is it of their lying that they say: 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 And they have made between Him and the jinn a kinship whereas the jinn assuredly know that they are to be brought up 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 But as for you, and that you serve, 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 Save him who is to burn in hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 And peace be upon the Envoys; 181 And all praise unto Allah the Lord of the worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
