Hizb 46
< random >
Verily Jonah is one of the apostles. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 So the fish swallowed him while he did that for which he blamed himself 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad): Hath thy Lord daughters whereas they have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 Will you not then remember? 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 Produce, then, that divine writ of yours, if you are speaking the truth! 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 can lure away from God any 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 The angels say, "Each of us has an appointed place. 164 Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); 165 And we are they who exalt (Allah)' 166 What, would they then say: 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 That they verily would be made triumphant. 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Glory be to your Lord: the Lord of Glory is far above what they attribute to Him. 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
