Hizb 46

Jonah was certainly a Messenger. 139 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 So the fish swallowed him while he did that for which he blamed himself 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 for, verily, neither you [blasphemers] nor the objects of your worship 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
