Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand men or more, 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 neither you nor what you worship 161 can cause anyone to fall prey to your temptation 162 Save him who is to burn in hell. 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 They used to say: 167 “If we had some advice from the earlier generations,” 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 And assuredly Our word hath already gone forth Our bondmen, the sent ones: 171 will certainly be victorious 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 LIMITLESS in His glory is thy Sustainer, the Lord of almightiness, [exalted] above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 180 And peace be on the Messengers! 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
