Hizb 46

AND, BEHOLD, Jonah was indeed one of Our message-bearers 139 Recall what time he ran away unto a laden ship. 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! 152 (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 God is too glorious to be described as they describe Him 159 Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 What, would they then say: 167 “If we had some advice from the earlier generations,” 168 We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 Our Word had already preceded Our worshipers, the Messengers, 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 Therefore turn away from them till a time, 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 LIMITLESS in His glory is thy Sustainer, the Lord of almightiness, [exalted] above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
