S (Saad)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Sad. By the renowned Qur'an, 1 Verily those who disbelieve are in vainglory and schism. 2 How many ancient generations did We destroy? (On facing Our torment) they cried out for help, but it was too late for them to escape. 3 Now they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a lying sorcerer. 4 “Has he made all the Gods into One God? This is really something very strange!” 5 And the leaders among them went about (saying): "Go on, and remain constant to your aliha (gods)! Verily, This is a thing designed (against you)! 6 We have not heard of this in the last religion; this is surely an invention. 7 Hath unto him the admonition been sent down from amongst us! Yea! they are in doubt concerning My admonition. Yea! they have not yet tasted My torment. 8 Or have they the treasures of the Mercy of your Lord, the All-Mighty, the Real Bestower? 9 Have they control over heavens and earth and whatever [lies] between them? Then let them climb up to heaven by ropes: 10 (As they denied Allah's Message) they will be a defeated host like the confederates of the old times (who were defeated). 11 Before them, the people of Nooh had denied, and the tribe of A’ad, and Firaun who used to crucify. 12 and the tribe of Thamud, and the people of Lot, and the dwellers of the Wood -- these were the confederates. 13 not one [was there] but gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon My retribution fell due. 14
