Saad 3 of 5
And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose! That is the consideration of those who disbelieve! Then woe to those who disbelieve (in Islamic Monotheism) from the Fire! 27 Shall We make those who believe and do good deeds equal to those who spread turmoil in the earth? Or shall We equate the pious with the disobedient? 28 This is a Book We have sent down unto thee, blest, that they may ponder the revelations thereof, and that there may be admonished men of understanding. 29 And We bestowed Sulaiman to Dawud; what an excellent bondman! He is indeed most inclined. 30 When there were brought to him in the evening (horses) still when standing, swift when running-- 31 he said: “Lo! I have come to love this wealth on account of the remembrance of my Lord.” And when the horses disappeared, 32 "Bring them back to me." then began he to pass his hand over (their) legs and their necks. 33 And certainly We tried Sulaiman, and We put on his throne a (mere) body, so he turned (to Allah). 34 He said: my Lord! forgive me, and bestow on me a dominion which no one may obtain beside me: verily Thou! Thou art the Bestower. 35 Then We subjected the wind to his power, to flow gently to his order, Whithersoever he willed,- 36 As also the evil ones, (including) every kind of builder and diver,- 37 And others bound together in shackles. 38 “This is Our bestowal – you may therefore bestow favours or withhold them – you will not be questioned.” 39 And he had a near place in Our presence and a fair resort. 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
