And remember Our slave Ayub (Job), when he invoked his Lord (saying): "Verily! Shaitan (Satan) has touched me with distress (by losing my health) and torment (by losing my wealth)! 41 (The command was given:) "Strike with thy foot: here is (water) wherein to wash, cool and refreshing, and (water) to drink." 42 We restored to him his family and like those with them, a mercy from Us and a reminder to a nation that understand. 43 "Take a handful of herbs," (We said to him), and apply and rub them, and do not make a mistake." We found him patient in adversity, an excellent devotee, always turning in repentance. 44 Remember Our votaries Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of power and insight. 45 Verily We did choose them for a special (purpose)- proclaiming the Message of the Hereafter. 46 In Our eyes they were of the chosen, virtuous people. 47 And call to mind Ishmael and Elisha, and every one who [like them] has pledged himself [unto Us]: for, each of them was of the truly good! 48 LET [all] this be a reminder [to those who believe in God] - for, verily, the most beauteous of all goals awaits the God-conscious: 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are open to them, 50 Therein will they recline (at ease): Therein can they call (at pleasure) for fruit in abundance, and (delicious) drink; 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account. 53 this is Our unending provision' 54 This is for the virtuous; and indeed for the rebellious is a wretched destination. 55 They will suffer in hell. What a terrible dwelling! 56 This (shall be so); so let them taste it, boiling and intensely cold (drink). 57 And other Penalties of a similar kind, to match them! 58 This is a crowd rushing in along with you; no welcome for them; verily they are to roast in the Fire. 59 They say, 'No, it is you have no Welcome; you forwarded it for us; how evil a stablishment!' 60 adding, "Our Lord, give double punishment to those who brought this upon us." 61 And they will say: "What is the matter with us that we see not men whom we used to count among the bad ones?" 62 Took we them so unjustly for a butt of mockery, or are they deluding our eyes? 63 Truly that is just and fitting,- the mutual recriminations of the People of the Fire! 64
