Bring to mind Our servant Job who cried to his Lord, "Satan has afflicted me with distress and suffering." 41 (The command was given:) "Strike with thy foot: here is (water) wherein to wash, cool and refreshing, and (water) to drink." 42 And We granted to him his family and also the like of them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to people of understanding, 43 We said to Him, "Take a handful of twigs in your hand and strike with that but do not break your oath." We found him steadfast. What an excellent servant! He turned constantly to his Lord. 44 (Muhammad), recall Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, all of whom possessed virtuous hands and clear visions. 45 Lo! We purified them with a pure thought, remembrance of the Home (of the Hereafter). 46 Lo! in Our sight they are verily of the elect, the excellent. 47 Also, remember our worshipers Ishmael, Elisha, and ThulKifl, they are among the good. 48 This is a Reminder. The righteous shall have a good place to return to: 49 the Gardens of Eden whose gates shall be open to them, 50 Where they will take their ease, calling for fruits in plenty, and for wine, 51 ۞ and with them maidens restraining their glances of equal age. 52 This is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning: 53 (It will be said to them)! Verily, this is Our Provision which will never finish; 54 This is so! And for the Taghun (transgressors, disobedient to Allah and His Messenger - disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, criminals, etc.), will be an evil final return (Fire), 55 hell will they have to endure - and how vile a resting-place! 56 This is for the criminals – so that they may taste it – boiling hot water and pus. 57 and other such torments. 58 This is a crowd rushing in along with you; no welcome for them; verily they are to roast in the Fire. 59 They will say: "In fact, it is you who will have no welcome. It is you who brought this upon us. What an evil place of rest!" 60 They will continue saying, "Lord, double the torment of fire for those who led us into this. 61 And they will say, "Why do we not see men whom we used to count among the worst? 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or is it that [they are here, and] our eyes have missed them?" 63 Such, behold, will in truth be the [confusion and] mutual wrangling of the people of the fire! 64
