1/2 Hizb 46
< random >
Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" 41 (And it was said unto him): Strike the ground with thy foot. This (spring) is a cool bath and a refreshing drink. 42 And We gave him (back) his family, and along with them the like thereof, as a Mercy from Us, and a Reminder for those who understand. 43 "Take a handful of herbs," (We said to him), and apply and rub them, and do not make a mistake." We found him patient in adversity, an excellent devotee, always turning in repentance. 44 And remember Our servants -- Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- they were endowed with great strength and vision. 45 Verily We exalted them in consideration of a sterling quality: their remembrance of the Abode of the Hereafter. 46 and in Our sight they are of the chosen, the excellent. 47 And remember Ismail and Al-Yasha and Zulkifl; and they were all of the best. 48 This is a Reminder, and indeed for the cautious is a fine return, 49 'Adn (Edn) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), whose doors will be open for them, [It is said (in Tafsir At-Tabari, Part 23, Page 174) that one can speak to the doors, just one tells it to open and close, and it will open or close as it is ordered]. 50 Therein will they recline (at ease): Therein can they call (at pleasure) for fruit in abundance, and (delicious) drink; 51 ۞ and with them maidens restraining their glances of equal age. 52 This is what you are promised for the day of reckoning. 53 Verily this is Our provision: there will be no ceasing thereof. 54 Yea, such! but - for the wrong-doers will be an evil place of (Final) Return!- 55 Hell; they shall enter it, so evil is the resting-place. 56 This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence. 57 And other (punishment) of the same kind-- of various sorts. 58 [And they will say to one another: "Do you see] this crowd of people rushing headlong to join you?" "No welcome to them! Indeed, they are headed for the fire!" 59 (The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!" 60 They will say: "O Lord, give him who has brought this upon us two times more the torment of Hell;" 61 And they say, “What is the matter with us that we do not see the men whom we thought were evil?” 62 Is it [because] we took them in ridicule, or has [our] vision turned away from them?" 63 All this is certainly true -- the inhabitants of the Fire will blame one another in this way. 64
