Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “I am purely a Herald of Warning – and there is no God except Allah, the One, the All Dominant.” 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say: "This is a momentous message, 67 "From which ye do turn away! 68 (Tell them): “I had no knowledge of the High Council when they were disputing. 69 I have only received revelation to give you plain warning. 70 [So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. 71 And when I have made him and have breathed into him of My spirit. Fall down in homage before him." 72 all the angel then prostrated themselves 73 save Iblis; he waxed proud, and was one of the unbelievers. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 Said Iblis, “I am better than him; You made me from fire, and You have created him from clay!” 76 [Allah] said, "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled. 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 Said he, 'My Lord, respite me till the day they shall be raised.' 79 (Allah) said: "Verily! You are of those allowed respite 80 for an appointed time". 81 [Iblees] said, "By your might, I will surely mislead them all 82 Except Thy servants from among them, the purified ones. 83 [And God] said: "This, then, is the truth! And this truth do I state: 84 that I shall certainly fill hell with you and your followers all together". 85 Say thou: I ask of you for it no hire, nor am I of the affecters. 86 This [divine writ,] behold, is no less than a reminder to all the worlds — 87 “And you will come to know of its tidings, after a while.” 88
