SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, the Mighty, the Forgiver. 66 Say thou: it is a tiding mighty. 67 "From which you turn away! 68 I had no knowledge of the chiefs on high when they disputed; 69 It is revealed unto me only that I may be a plain warner. 70 When your Lord told the angels, "I will create a mortal out of clay, 71 and when I give it proper shape and blow My spirit into it, bow down in prostration to him," 72 Then the angels bowed before him in a body, 73 Except Iblis; he was proud and was, from the beginning, a disbeliever. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 Said Iblis, “I am better than him; You made me from fire, and You have created him from clay!” 76 (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here: for thou art rejected, accursed. 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 He said: my Lord! respite me till the Day whereon they are raised up. 79 He (Allah) said: 'You are among those that are respited 80 for an appointed time". 81 He said, “Therefore, by oath of Your honour, I will surely mislead all of them.” 82 "Except Your chosen slaves amongst them (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism)." 83 Said Allah, “So this is the truth; and I speak only the truth.” – 84 that I shall certainly fill hell with you and your followers all together". 85 Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no fee for this, and I am no simulating. 86 This [divine writ,] behold, is no less than a reminder to all the worlds — 87 "And you shall certainly know the truth of it after a while. 88
