SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; the Almighty, the Forgiving' 66 Say: 'This is a mighty message 67 Whence ye turn away! 68 "No knowledge have I of the Chiefs on high, when they discuss (matters) among themselves. 69 I have only received revelation to give you plain warning. 70 (Remember) When your Lord said to the angels, “I will create a human from clay.” – 71 When I have shaped him, and breathed My spirit in him, fall you down, bowing before him!' 72 Then the angels bowed before him in a body, 73 except Iblis who puffed himself up with pride and became a disbeliever. 74 God said, "Satan, what prevented you from prostrating yourself to what I created with My own Hands? Were you overcome by arrogance, or are you of those who think [only] of themselves as exalted?" 75 He said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire, whilst him Thou didst create of clay. 76 [Allah] said, "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled. 77 Upon thee shall rest My curse, till the Day of Doom.' 78 Satan said: “My Lord, then grant me respite till the Day that they are raised up.” 79 Said Allah, “You are therefore among those given respite.” 80 Till the appointed day." 81 He said: Then, by Thy might, I surely will beguile them every one, 82 Other than the chosen ones among Your creatures." 83 Allah said: the truth is, and it is the truth that I speak 84 I will certainly fill the Gehenna with you and with all those among them who follow you.” 85 Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (Qur'an), nor am I a pretender. 86 This [divine writ,] behold, is no less than a reminder to all the worlds — 87 You will certainly know its truthfulness after a certain time. 88
