[But,] behold, as for those who are bent on denying the truth - [on that same Day] a voice will call out unto them: "Indeed, greater than your [present] loathing of yourselves was God's loathing of you [at the time] when you were called unto faith but went on denying the truth!" 10 They shall say: 'Our Lord, twice You have made us die, and twice You have given us life, now, we confess our sins. Is there any way we can be brought out of this' 11 (It will be said): "This is because, when Allah Alone was invoked (in worship, etc.) you disbelieved, but when partners were joined to Him, you believed! So the judgement is only with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great!" 12 He it is Who shows you His signs and sends down for you sustenance from heaven, and none minds but he who turns (to Him) again and again. 13 So, call you (O Muhammad SAW and the believers) upon (or invoke) Allah making (your) worship pure for Him (Alone) (by worshipping none but Him and by doing religious deeds sincerely for Allah's sake only and not to show-off and not to set up rivals with Him in worship). However much the disbelievers (in the Oneness of Allah) may hate (it). 14 The Exalter of Ranks, the Lord of the Throne. He causeth the Spirit of His command upon whom He will of His slaves, that He may warn of the Day of Meeting, 15 The Day when they will (all) come out, nothing of them will be hidden from Allah. Whose is the kingdom this Day? (Allah Himself will reply to His Question): It is Allah's the One, the Irresistible! 16 This Day shall every person be recompensed for what he earned. No injustice (shall be done to anybody). Truly, Allah is Swift in reckoning. 17 Warn them against the Imminent Day when, choking with anguish, the hearts will be in their throats, the harmdoers will not have a single loyal friend, and there will be no intercessor to be obeyed. 18 He knows the stealthy looks and that which the breasts conceal. 19 And Allah judges with the truth; and those whom they call upon besides Him cannot judge aught; surely Allah is the Hearing, the Seeing. 20
