Hast thou not regarded those who dispute concerning the signs of God, how they are turned about? 69 Those who deny the Book and what We have sent down with Our apostles, will soon come to know 70 When the fetters and chains are on their necks, and they dragged 71 Into boiling water, then in the fire shall they be burned; 72 Then it will be said to them: "Where are (all) those whom you used to join in worship as partners 73 side by side with God?" They will answer: "They have forsaken us - or, rather, what we were wont to invoke aforetime did not exist at all!" And they will be told:] "It is thus that God lets the deniers of the truth go astray: 74 "That was because ye were wont to rejoice on the earth in things other than the Truth, and that ye were wont to be insolent. 75 Enter the gates of hell to abide therein, evil then is the abode of the proud. 76 Wherefore persevere thou; verily the promise of Allah is true; then whether We let thee see a part of that wherewith We have promised them, or whether We cause thee to die, unto Us they all will be caused to return. 77 Surely We have sent apostles before you, some of whose account We have related to you, and that of some We have not told you. But no apostle was given a miracle unless God dispensed. But when the decree of God comes the sentence is passed with justice; and the lovers of vice and vanity will then come to grief. 78
