Did you not see those who dispute concerning Allah's Signs? Whence are they, then, being turned astray? 69 Those who denied the Book and what We sent with Our Noble Messengers; so they will soon come to know. – 70 When iron collars will be rounded over their necks, and the chains, they shall be dragged along. 71 In boiling water; they will then be ignited* in the fire. (Like fuel – see verse 2:24) 72 And then they will be asked: "Where now are those [powers] to which you were wont to ascribe divinity 73 “As rivals to Allah?”; they will say, “We have lost them – in fact we never used to worship anything before!”; this is how Allah sends the disbelievers astray. 74 [The angels will say], "That was because you used to exult upon the earth without right and you used to behave insolently. 75 Enter the gates of Hell to stay therein forever. The abode of the arrogant is evil. 76 So persevere in patience; for the Promise of Allah is true: and whether We show thee (in this life) some part of what We promise them,- or We take thy soul (to Our Mercy) (before that),-(in any case) it is to Us that they shall (all) return. 77 We sent other Messengers before you; of some, We have already told you, of others We have not told you. Yet it was not for any Messenger to bring a verse except by the permission of Allah. And when the command of Allah comes the matter will be justly decided; and the vaindoers will be lost. 78
