Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ha. Mim. 1 A revelation from the Beneficent, the Merciful, 2 A Book whose verses have been detailed, an Arabic Qur'an for a people who know, 3 Giving good news and admonition: yet most of them turn away, and so they hear not. 4 And they say, “Our hearts are covered against the affair you call us to, and there is deafness in our ears, and there is a barrier between us and you – therefore mind your own business, we are minding ours.” 5 Say thou: "I am but a man like you: It is revealed to me by Inspiration, that your Allah is one Allah: so stand true to Him, and ask for His Forgiveness." And woe to those who join gods with Allah,- 6 Those who do not give the obligatory charity, and who deny the Hereafter. 7 "The ones who believe and perform good deeds shall have a reward which will never be withheld from them." 8
