They will be spurred on 19 till when they are come to it, their hearing, their eyes and their skins bear witness against them concerning what they have been doing, 20 And they will say to their bodies: "Why did you testify against us?" They will answer: "God, who gave all things power of articulation, made us speak. It is He who created you the first time, and to Him you will return. 21 Ye have not been taking cover against yourselves lest your ears and your eyes and your skins should bear witness against you, but ye imagined that Allah not much knew of that which ye were working. 22 It is this notion you had of your Lord that caused your ruin, and you are lost." 23 Then if they are patient, even then the fire is their home; and if they plead, none will listen to their pleading. 24 ۞ We had assigned to them companions who embellished for them all that was before them and behind them. Thus the same decree (of chastisement) which had overtaken the previous generations of jinn and human beings (also) became due against them. Surely they became the losers. 25
