Al-Shooraa 4 of 5
And whatever of misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He pardons much. (See the Quran Verse 35:45). 30 And you cannot escape in the earth; and you have neither a friend nor any supporter against Allah. 31 And among His Signs are the ships, in the sea, like mountains. 32 If He so wills, He can cause the winds to become still so that they will remain motionless on its surface. Surely there are many Signs in this for those who are wont to be steadfast and give thanks. 33 He may, while forgiving much of the sins of those that ride these ships, drown them on account of some of their misdeeds. 34 Those who dispute Our verses may know that they have no asylum. 35 So whatever thing you are given, that is only a provision of this world's life, and what is with Allah is better and more lasting for those who believe and rely on their Lord. 36 who refrain from heinous sins and gross indecencies; who forgive when they are angry; 37 those who answer their Lord, establish the prayers, and their affairs are by consultation; who spend of that which We have given them, 38 And those who defend themselves when they are wronged. 39 Let harm be requited by an equal harm. But whoever pardons and amends will find his reward with God. He does not love the wrongdoers. 40 And indeed whosoever takes revenge after he has suffered wrong, for such there is no way (of blame) against them. 41 Blame attaches only to those who subject people to wrong and commit excesses on earth. A painful chastisement awaits them. 42 But indeed if any show patience and forgive, that would truly be an exercise of courageous will and resolution in the conduct of affairs. 43

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
