And when Ibrahim said to his father and his people, “I have no relation whatsoever with your deities.” 26 Except for He who created me; and indeed, He will guide me." 27 This is the legacy he left to his descendants so that they may turn (to God). 28 Nay, but I gave (the good things of this life) to these (polytheists) and their fathers to enjoy, till there came to them the truth (the Quran), and a Messenger (Muhammad SAW) making things clear. 29 When the truth came to them, they said, "This is magic and we have no faith in it". 30 They also said: "Why was this Qur'an not sent down to some great man of the two cities?" 31 What, is it they who divide the mercy of the Lord? We have divided between them their livelihood in the present life, and raised some of them above others in rank, that some of them may take others in servitude; and the mercy of thy Lord is better than that they amass. 32 And were it not that mankind would have become one community, We should make for those who disbelieve in the Compassionate roofs of silver for their houses and silver stairways whereby they ascend. 33 And for their houses doors (of silver) and couches of silver whereon to recline, 34 And adornments of gold. Yet all this (i.e. the roofs, doors, stairs, elevators, thrones etc. of their houses) would have been nothing but an enjoyment of this world. And the Hereafter with your Lord is only for the Muttaqun. 35
