And whosoever turns away (blinds himself) from the remembrance of the Most Beneficent (Allah) (i.e. this Quran and worship of Allah), We appoint for him Shaitan (Satan - devil) to be a Qarin (an intimate companion) to him. 36 Satan will prevent them from the right path while they think that they have the right guidance. 37 But when he comes to Us, he will say (to his satan): “Would that there had been between me and you the distance as between the East and the West. How evil a companion you were!” 38 And since you were unjust, it will not profit you this day that you are sharers in the chastisement. 39 So will you make the deaf listen or show the path to the blind, and to those who are in open error? (The disbelievers whose hearts are sealed, are deaf and blind to the truth). 40 And even if We take you (O Muhammad SAW) away, We shall indeed take vengeance on them. 41 or make you see the end that We had promised them, for We have full power over them. 42 So hold thou fast to the Revelation sent down to thee; verily thou art on a Straight Way. 43 And indeed, it is a remembrance for you and your people, and you [all] are going to be questioned. 44 You can ask Our Messengers whom We sent before you if We had commanded them to worship other gods besides the Beneficent God?" 45
