THUS, INDEED, have We sent Moses with Our messages unto Pharaoh and his great ones; and he said: "Behold, I am an apostle of the Sustainer of all the worlds!" 46 But when he came to them with Our signs, lo! they laughed at them. 47 And all the signs We showed them were always greater than the earlier ones; and We seized them with calamities, so that they may return. 48 And they said, 'Sorcerer, pray to thy Lord for us by the covenant He has made with thee, and surely we shall be right-guided.' 49 When We relieved them from the torment they suddenly turned back on their heels. 50 And the Pharaoh said to his people: "O people, is not mine the kingdom of Egypt and these rivers that flow at my feet? Can you still not comprehend? 51 Nay! I am better than this fellow, who is contemptible, and who can hardly speak distinctly: 52 Then why have there not been placed upon him bracelets of gold or come with him the angels in conjunction?" 53 Thus he made light (of the matter) to his people, and they obeyed him. They were certainly wicked. 54 So when they vexed Us, We took vengeance on them, and We drowned them all. 55 We made them a precedent, an example for later peoples. 56

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
