۞ When (Jesus) the son of Mary is held up as an example, behold, thy people raise a clamour thereat (in ridicule)! 57 and said: “Who is better, our deities or he?” They said so only out of contentiousness. They are a disputatious people. 58 He (Prophet Jesus) was only a worshiper whom We favored and We made him an example to the Children of Israel. 59 And if We willed, We could have established angels on the earth instead of you. 60 And verily he is a sign of the Hour wherefore dubitate not thereof, and follow Me: this is the straight path. 61 Let satan not prevent you from the right path. He is your sworn enemy". 62 And when Jesus brought clear proofs, he said, "I have come to you with wisdom and to make clear to you some of that over which you differ, so fear Allah and obey me. 63 Allah is my Lord and your Lord; therefore, serve Him. That is the Straight Way.” 64 But the parties among them fell into variance; so woe unto those who did evil, because of the chastisement of a painful day. 65 Are they waiting (for any thing) but the Hour (of Doom) which would descend upon them suddenly, and catch them unawares? 66 All intimate friends on that day will become each others enemies except for the pious, 67
