۞ And when the son of Mary was presented as an example, immediately your people laughed aloud. 57 And they say: are our gods better, or is he? They mention him not to thee save for disputation. Aye! they are a people contentious. 58 but he was only a servant We favoured and made an example for the Children of Israel: 59 And if We willed, We could have established angels on the earth instead of you. 60 It is the knowledge of the Hour. Have no doubt concerning it, and follow me. This is a Straight Path, 61 And do not ever let the devil stop you; he is indeed your open enemy. 62 When Jesus came with Clear Signs and said: “I have brought wisdom to you that I may make plain to you some of the things you differ about. So fear Allah and follow me. 63 Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is a straight path." 64 But the parties among them fell into variance; so woe unto those who did evil, because of the chastisement of a painful day. 65 Do they wait for aught but the hour, that it should come! upon them all of a sudden while they do not perceive? 66 Friends on that Day will be foes one to another except Al-Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). 67
