So We saved the children of Israel from degrading suffering 30 and from the Pharaoh. He was the chief of the transgressors. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge above the nations (of their time). 32 and gave them signs wherein there was a manifest trial. 33 As to these (Quraish), they say forsooth: 34 "After we die, we shall never be raised to life again. 35 Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 It was not in idle sport that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. 38 We did not create them except with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Truly, the Day of Decision is the appointed time for all of them, 40 The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - 41 except for those to whom God grants mercy. He is Majestic and All-merciful. 42
