Al-Dukhaan 2 of 3

and We saved the Children of Israel from a humiliating punishment 30 at the hands of Pharaoh: he was a tyrant who exceeded all bounds. 31 And We chose them, purposely, above (all) creatures. 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 Yet those who deny the truth say, 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 So bring our ancestors back, if you are truthful." 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those afore them? We destroyed them; verily they were culprits. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 We created them not save with a purpose but most of them know not. 39 The Day of Final Decision is the appointed time for all; 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 Except those upon whom Allah has mercy; indeed He only is the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful. 42
