Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Indeed, the tree of zaqqum 43 Is the food of the sinners. 44 It will be like molted brass which will boil in the bellies 45 like the boiling of hot water. 46 (And it will be said): Take him and drag him to the midst of hell, 47 Then pour upon his head the torment of boiling water. 48 Taste; you forsooth are the mighty, the honorable: 49 This is that concerning which you were doubting.' 50 Surely those who fear and follow the straight path will be in a place of peace and security 51 In gardens and springs; 52 Dressed in fine silk and (also) in thick silk, facing each other, 53 Even so (it will be). And We shall wed them unto fair ones with wide, lovely eyes. 54 They shall call therein for every fruit in security; 55 They will not taste death again in it, except their former death; and Allah has saved them from the punishment of fire. 56 As bounty from your Lord. That is what is the great attainment. 57 (O Prophet), We have made this Book easy in your tongue so that they may take heed. 58 Therefore wait (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) – they too are waiting. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
