And unto Allah belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and on the day when the Hour riseth, on that day those who follow falsehood will be lost. 27 You will see every people on their knees, every people shall be summoned to its Record [and a voice will say], "Today you will be requited for your deeds. 28 This Our record speaks of you in all truth: for, verily, We have caused to be recorded all that you ever did!" 29 As for those who have believed and done good works, their Lord will admit them into His Mercy that is a mighty triumph! 30 And to those who disbelieved, it will be said “Was it not that Our verses were recited to you? In response you were haughty and were a guilty people.” 31 for when it was said, 'Behold, God's promise always comes true, and there can be no doubt about [the coming of] the Last Hour' - you would answer, 'We do not know what that Last Hour may be: we think it is no more than an empty guess, and [so] we are by no means convinced!'" 32 The evil of their actions will then become clear to them. The punishment they mocked will engulf them. 33 It will also be said: "This Day We will forget you as ye forgot the meeting of this Day of yours! and your abode is the Fire, and no helpers have ye! 34 This because you laughed at God's revelations and were taken in by the life of the world." So they will neither be taken out of it, nor will be asked to seek God's favour on that day. 35 It is only God, Lord of the heavens and the earth and Lord of the Universe who deserves all praise. 36 And to Him belongs [all] grandeur within the heavens and the earth, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. 37
